Story

Joining the ranks of the ETB500 and the ETB Wedge is the ETB1000: our take on one of the most beloved Travis Bean guitars from the '70s.

The original has a habit of showing up in wildly different hands. Jerry Garcia used it to wander far and wide. Slash uses it to deliver massive, chest-rattling riffs. Yannis Philippakis (Foals) uses it to carve sharp, rhythmic lines that refuse to sit still. Same guitar. Completely different outcomes. That’s always been the magic.

The ETB1000 keeps that spirit intact, with a few modern adjustments where it counts.

To make sure nothing was lost in translation, we went deep on the details: custom-wound, vintage-voiced humbuckers tuned for clarity and punch, premium components throughout, and meticulous construction at our top-tier factory in Korea. Instead of the original aluminum neck, we’ve opted for solid maple, delivering a more familiar feel, improved balance, and warmth you can hear and feel. The result keeps the fast response and clear note separation the originals were known for, with a slightly softer edge and a more forgiving, human feel.

The ETB 1000 isn’t about recreating the past note-for-note. It’s about tipping our hat to a brilliant idea, and turning it into a guitar you’ll reach for day after day.
