Customer Reviews

Everything about this guitar is impeccable. The finish and binding look great and it was really well set up out-of-the-box (once I tuned it). I've had it for about three weeks. It feels great and plays great. It has a rich unplugged tone and gotten a wide range of tones through several amp configurations

Are you left-handed? Do you lose sleep at night wondering, "What if I can never find a reasonable priced, well made, fun as hell to play leftie guitar again??" Well, Eastwood has you covered. I have been looking at the Sidejack for a while because this things is weird and beautiful, just like all of you. I pulled the trigger when it was on sale. It got to my house in like 3days. I found no faults with fit and finish. Set up was good, but I did adjust the neck slightly. Plays so well and the sound is a delight. You can find other lefties in this price range, sure. But are you a normie. Do you REALLY want the same Strat or LP that everyone else in the world has? No. No, you don't. You want this cool AF beauty.

My stable of Eastwoods continues to grow, both old and new. My latest addition is a 2004 LG200T. It is getting both practical and cosmetic upgrades to get it ready for the stage, and that includes the headstock being painted matching black - and this badge is the finishing touch. I cannot speak more highly of the quality of both Eastwood's products and customer service. Thank you so much for all your support over the years Mike, Vince and crew!

Service: 5* Eastwood was very helpful and responsive while ordering that guitar. Setup: 2* The guitar came with a ridiculously low action (1mm at 12th fret). I had to raise the string height and adjust the intonation. Not a big deal but it's something that could have been done properly before shipping. Build Quality: 4* The guitar is very well made. The frets are well dressed and polished, the electronics backplate is countersunk and the woods used for the body and neck show very nice wood grain. I am removing 1 star because the tuning keys (Gotoh!) are misaligned... I had to replace ALL pickguard screws as they were weird looking: they had too large heads and were misaligned. I used Fender screws and the guitar looks much better now. Playability: 4* I would have liked a fatter neck profile. That Mad Cat A. S. has a very slim neck profile. The guitar sounds very good clean and overdriven and the onboarded preamp is VERY efficient. It provides enough grit to push a clean amp into overdrive and works very well with alreadu overdriven sounds. The blend control lets you dial exactly what you need and is very musical on its whole range. I'm not a great fan of out of phase sounds but it's there if you need it. The guitar is a bit heavy (3,6kg) but the onboarded electronics inevitably adds weight. Conclusion: 4* Whether or not you like Andy Summers, that guitar is worth buying if you are looking for a super versatile T-style guitar. The neck profile might not suit everybody but chances are you might swap it for a beefier one. At $1500, it could have come with a case or gigbag.

I have been a huge fan of my Fender Precision bass. I tried a Fender Squire Bass VI and fell in love. Then I found Eastwood Guitars, my first order was the TB64 6-String Bass. I love everything about this bass and it is my current #1 bass, my "Go To" bass for every project. It is a superb instrument, the pickups are tight, punchy, smooth, and lively. It plays great, sounds great, and I am most impressed. I love it!

I am very happy with the product. The guitar looks and sounds great. Perfect construction and performance. The shipment arrived in perfect condition and in just one week (shipping to Spain). You can see it in action in the Litrona and Bordillo videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkZoi-IBT8s

I had a fantastic experience with Eastwood. Michael was highly responsive via email and provided outstanding customer service. My guitar arrived in Australia just five days after shipping, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The guitar is excellent, with a bright, vibrant sound. Overall, an exceptional experience!

This guitar rips! The pickups are clear with a lot of punch, when I recieved it the neck was perfectly straight and the setup work was well done. Very comfortable and no tweaking needed out of the box. Nice angled heel on the neck too allowing for a good break angle on the bridge. Oh and I really like the vibrato on this. Fret ends could maybe use a little polish but that's just aesthetics, and I have some fret erasers. The fretboard has a bit of a lacquered finish to it, which is unusual for a dark hardwood but kinda fitting with the 60s import aesthetics. Yah the body is weird but that's what you came for! Honestly this puts my MIM Jazzmaster to shame.

Happy to say I picked up one of the purple sparkle Zenyata’s. Extremely light guitar with a nice full neck. Very comfortable to play seated in a normal playing position. The range of tones plus the amount of clarity you get from the pickups is astounding. Now it’s not perfect, the volume pot is the wrong type in mine it’s not an audio taper pot so it’s either fully on or fully off and that I’ll change. I’ve a hankering for Duocata next.

I really love the Feel and tone of my Flying Green Banana! Looks and plays smooth! Excellent quality!!. Finish and frets are Great!. Fast shipping to me and excellent customer service and support!!. Very Happy with this Eastwood Guitar!!

This is my 3rd Eastwood (Classic 6 DLX, Classic 12), but certainly not the last--nor the least! Thanks, Mike & co. for this tribute to the original custom built for Rory Gallagher. Adding the Eastwood DNA assures a great-playing and sounding axe, IMHO. It's a deceptively simple guitar, but it is exactly what it needs to be. The 3-tone pickup switching, H-Parallel/Single-Coil/H-Series on 1 3-way switch, is killer. Out of the box, the setup was spot-on and she was close to in-tune as well. My nickname for her is “Molly Hatchet." Super worthy: this one rocks!

Finally received my Hooky Viking Pro... what a bass, it sounds fantastic, I played along to Joy divisions Unknown Pleasures and Closer followed by New orders Movement and Power corruption and lies, I couldn't put the bass down. This is my third bass in the Hooky series and I couldn't be happier... only one slight niggle... the bridge. The bridge is a bent bit of tin, nothing wrong with that, they have been tried and tested over the decades. The bridge is attached by four screws, one in each corner. I use heavy gauge strings and I'd worry that the back of the bridge would pull out under the tension. I'd have liked to have seen five screws at the back, two at the front. Maybe something that could happen for future releases..?? I could modify the bridge or find a suitable replacement. My Hooky Viking will be a working bass and not an ornament, so this is quite important to me. As I said I really am enjoying the bass, it looks and sounds fantastic, so much so, if I can free up some funds I'll be buying the dark cherry Viking.. Thanks Eastwood...

This is the ultimate Tele (IMO). With the extra gain function, it makes this a total tone machine. Plays exceptionally well, stays in tune and is beautiful. It's a little heavy, but what real Tele isn't? Immediately turned into my #3.

Now, Here's a little story from France for a change. Many years ago, I discovered the Mosrite guitars brand by listening to the Ramones (of course) and then to Bruce Joyner and the Unknowns : the greatest well kept secret of US indie rock'n'roll bands from the 80's (Please have a listen). Some years later, in a collector guitars shop in Paris, I had the opportunity to try and play an original 1967 Mosrite Ventures after having dreamt of it for years and, to be honest, if its look and sound were truly exquisite, let's say that its playability was something else and a bit confusing for a modest "modern" guitar player. Its price was 3500.00€ then (roughly more than 3000.00 US $), I could not seriously consider to buy it, even if it was in perfect condition. Anyway, the experience was impossible to forget. Time passed, and as I worked for the instruments industry, I have since played on many vintage or modern guitar brands : Fender, Squier, Gibson, Epiphone, Rickenbacker, Grestsch, Hofner, Dan Armstrong (Another holy grail !), Danelectro, Vox, Reverend (also very good !), Maton, Airline/Eastwood and so on but I never forgot the Mosrite look and feel and sound... Last year, after some hesitations between the Sidejack DLX and the Sidejack Pro DLX, I finally ordered and received my Sidejack Pro DLX in Sunburst, and, my oh my... That's it ! This is the guitar I really needed for a 60's garage-freakbeat-mod-pop project that me and my pals are working on. Every guitar freaks around me that has tried and played my Sidejack since have been stunned by its look, charmed by its sound, convinced by its playability and they all rave about it now when then know about its price, at least the quarter of the price of a vintage Mosrite collector. To describe it, you've got the punch and soul of the P90's pick-ups, a bit like on a Gibson Les Paul Junior (my previous stage gear) but you also have the jangly/trebly sound of a Fender (a mix of Jazzmaster and Jaguar maybe ?) and then, the Mosrite look. It also loves to be played through a Mark I Tone Bender Fuzz pedal and a Fender Twin Reverb amp. In my opinion, a perfect mix. The neck is quite fat and large but you very quickly get used to it. The guitar was pretty well tuned at its delivery, the only thing that I regret is that the frets will need some adjustment because they are a bit wider than the neck right now and a bit slicy if you know what I mean but this is unfortunately very often the case with new guitars these days. But it's not a very big issue if you know a professionnal luthier. Anyway, this thing can definitely be used on stage and that 's what will happen to mine very soon for a very simple reason : A beauty like this needs to be exposed and showed ! Many thanks to Semie Moseley for having designed and conceived this wonderful guitar and for the Eastwood company to make it available today in a modern set-up and for a reasonable price. Now, all I need you guys at Eatswood to do is to worl on a Vox Phantom and also a Vox Teardrop project : Make 'em available, playable and affordable and let me know about it ! Keep up with your good work and all the best from France !

I was looking for a something a little different, and LG-50 intrigued me with its combination of small size and vintage-style hardware. What I didn’t expect was receiving an instrument that I haven’t been able to put down since unpacking it. There’s just something about this guitar that makes it really fun to play. But the biggest surprise was just how versatile it is - the pickups sound great with heavy distortion, clean, or anything in between. This is definitely not a one-trick pony. The setup out of the box was on point and the customer service was also outstanding. Highly recommended!

I got my Eastwood Tiger second hand it was like new and about a year old. This is an amazing guitar with tons of tonal versatility. You feel a connection to captain trips just holding it. The neck is thick and chunky but it plays fast and buttery. I have big hands so this is especially nice. This guitar feels really well built. The stock pickups actually sound great. You can get a nice Jerry tone with it. This instantly became my favorite guitar. I’ve looked at other lower cost options and this is probably the best bang for the buck Tiger you can buy. They go waaaaay up in price from here. If you’re considering an affordable Jerry Tiger don’t hesitate and jump on this guitar. It’s got the mojo and the feel. You will not regret it!

I bought this Senn Model One Anniversary LTD last year new and I must say it is gorgeous players guitar. It’s been in the case for the last 6 months because I really forgot I had it. Since I pulled it out it’s become one of my favorite guitars. The color scheme black pearl w/ gold stacked pick gaurd is stunning!! Thank you Jeff for bringing and designing a great piece. Highly recommended this axe to anyone looking for a great guitar at a fair price.

TLDR: This guitar is awesome! It's not perfect, but I love it! The Good: Out of the box, this guitar played great. The setup was good and with only a minor straightening of the neck, it was playing exactly how I like. The fret work is fantastic (which is always a worry when buying guitars online), with no high frets and no fret sprout. This thing sounds incredible too, especially the neck pickup. Clean or Driven, its a tone machine. Plus, it is so beautiful and everyone loves the Red/Creme! The Not Good: There are several blemishes in the finish, either bleed into the binging or marks in the finish where someone must have bumped it at some point. Nothing too egregious, just minor things. The neck pickup would rattle a lot when playing so I had to go in and tape it so it wouldn't vibrate constantly. The nut could be better, but its serviceable for now. Might upgrade in the future. The tuners are fine, but could also be a place for an upgrade in the future. Also, whoever strung up the guitar didn't get the ball end of the low E set right in the tailpiece which caused a problem when trying to remove that string. The ball ends need to go in a particular way in order to sit correctly in the tailpiece. Something to double check on! It is a bit of a pain to get the ball end in correctly too, so watch out for that aspect when restringing. Overall: This guitar is really great. The build quality is great, the playability is great, the tone is great and the looks are unmatched. I definitely recommend this guitar, just don't expect something perfect. Fortunately, I got it on sale, otherwise the price is a little high, but still a fantastic guitar. Give it a try!

Great service and info before and during shipping. I was a little worried when i opened the box on arrival because of how little foam and packing material surrounding the guitar but it was fine. The guitar came set up perfectly. I just put new strings on it and it was ready to go! Looks great, feels great, plays great. Love it!

I ordered this bass on 5 October and received it a mere 5 days later. This was the quickest delivery I ever experienced when buying an instrument on-line. And the bass is in perfect condition - it even came with flat-wounds, which I forgot to mention in my order. Thanks a lot!!

What a strange and wonderful guitar. I have it tuned CGDAE, and the low C is great fun. Double stops using that low C sound a little muddy, but other than that it's a joy to play. Coming to this from the octave mandolin it has felt easy to transition. Having a blast with it and glad I didn't just get a regular tenor guitar. Been affectionately calling it the creamy monster.

The box came very quick and in it was this wonderful guitar. Downs first: the gigbag fits well but offers no protection except of views. But with this I can live, I will find something better. But not for the guitar, this is amazing! Build quality and finish look and feel spotless and setup was perfect for playing it instantly. With the slim body it is not for playing acoustically with others but great for not being heard outside the room when playing at night. Amped it offers tons of sound and a great variety of possibilities, it works for everything. After the first check I changed the tailpiece for a Duesenberg tremolo and my favourite flatwound strings, since then I can't stop playing it. And the orange colour is simply perfect!

Actually I do have a mosrite ventures from the sixties, which I hardly ever use. It sounds great, but it's uncomfortable to play, frets, neck too thin... The eastwood on the other hand is easy to play and it can keep up to mosrite in terms of sound! As good as the mosrite on the neck pickup (and the mosrite sound stunning) and even better on the bridge pickup. So, fully satisfied, correct surfy tone thru a clean tube amp with good amount of reverb. Tom Novak, the Low-Fi Drifters

This Eastwood bass is light as a feather, impressive tone and a bit beyond expectations. Having watched some YouTube reviews I was almost deterred to purchase thinking it’ll never get me what I need it to do. However, look alone proved to be a selling point, and with the ease of working on a payment through the sites simple purchasing measures I received the bass within a few days and it was packaged not only well but securely. It’s a beaut, a marvelous walnut finish and I can’t stress how light this is, personally I favor my PRS guitar but that out weighs the bass by several pounds! It has a glorious sound, matched with the right compression you can have a beautiful sustain ring out over your low notes to make the ladies and gentlemen swoon in generous applause. I absolutely love this instrument! Been playing bass over two decades now and I finally found a bass I’m proud to own and say definitively- is my weapon of choice! Great product and highly- er, emphatically recommend!

Elated. Barely even had to tune it right outta the box. Beautifully made. Sounds killer. Plays well. It’s better than I am… So far. I got the black one. I look cooler than I used to, too. Business-wise it was smooth & simple. Any hesitation at buying an Eastwood should be ignored. Do it. You deserve a really nice guitar.

Has become my go to guitar Have a custom shop LP, USA Double Cut LP jr, USA Tele and USA Strat Mondata is first one to pick up Versatile with switching options the mini buckers allow for wide range of tones Absolutely fantastic neck Superb workmanship Setup and action perfect out of the box Bought this and a Combinata for a friend Both guitars are great and playing together they blend and compliment each other. Great choice for purchase without having the ability to test drive both are keepers

I've always been a sucker for a vintage/ boutique style basses. A few years back I found Eastwood by accident, I fell in love immediately. I've been an Ibanez guy for the majority of my 20+ years of playing, this bass changes everything. This is the first bass I actually have trouble putting down, I love everything about how this bass feels and plays.Thank you Eastwood🤙

I've just bought this fabulous guitar. The finish is perfect, the pickups are well adapted. I'm more than delighted to have found it after years of waiting for an affordable MadCat. Plugged into my Marshall, it sounds wonderful, both clean and saturated. I'm lucky enough to have a vintage HS Anderson and a Telecaster made by a friend. Thanks Eastwood

Very cool! Although the pickups look like mounted by the trainee and volume and tone knobs seem to be slightly mixed up, this is a very cool guitar. I like the sound, I like these pickups. They have character, versatile sound, beyond ordinary. The vibrato is above my expectations, stays pretty much in tune. Overall, pretty cool!

This great creation of the Srinivasan mandolin perfected by Eastwood Guiters, makes it a professional masterpiece, beautifully constructed mandolin a carved masterpiece and sound is out of this world, i bought two already. Thanks to EASTWOOD

I’ve had plenty of great guitars in my life, but this one takes the Cool Trophy. Simple but beautiful, odd but elegant, heavy but gentle. Excellent sound, looks, built quality, and website service. I had my white Univox sent all the way to Iceland with no issues, all fairly priced. 10/10

I've always loved Eastwood guitars. My first Eastwood was a side jack. This time I tried the airline and couldn't be happier. The guitar has a nice mellow sound and excellent sustain! I mean geez it's awesome! And it goes well with any pedal you put to it. I'm so happy to have this guitar. Thanks guys!

Looking for that early 80s post punk sound? Add your favorite chorus pedal. Looking for that spaghetti western twang? Add your favorite tremolo pedal. As for the bass itself, it arrived quickly and well packaged from the U.K. Intonation was spot on right out of the box. Sounds great all the way up the neck. No additional set up needed. Added the black pick guard. It just looks better. The stock strings work just fine. No issues with the low E string, which can be a problem with a bass vi. All in all, it looks and plays like a dream. Well done, Eastwood. Well done indeed.

I am originally a drummer; learnt bass 5-6 yrs ago. Ironically, most of my fave musicians are guita players. So I bought myself an acoustic guitar to learn. Been dabbing into for a while when I came accross a video of RJ ronquillo playing a Tenor Baritone from Eastwood; fell in love with the sound! So I pulled the trigger, bought and started playing and learning right away, even wrote two songs already!! That I am in the process of recording as I write this. Extremely happy with this purchase. The Guitar is well made, looks more beautiful in person (photos don’t do justice). Really well made, and plays great. So Happy I get it and really, many thanks to Vince at Eastwood guitars for helping me and treating me well on our communications via email. 5 stars!!! (Should be 10 stars, really)

Took advantage of the BOGO and got a jetson jr. bass as well. Eastwood was nice enough to let me use the coupon code despite it being expired- great customer service! I own 4 Eastwoods now, and I love all of them. Hands down the best value on the market- each one I’ve purchased could’ve been sold for twice the price, in my opinion. I have a couple of “major” brands (Jaguar and a Les Paul), and I play my Eastwood guitars more. Buy one, you won’t regret it

I just want to say, "Thank You" to everyone that had a hand in getting this guitar to me. I've wanted one since the first time I laid eyes on it. I received mine on Monday and we gigged with it on Wednesday night. It was a big hit and I had a great time playing. The setup was spot on and very much appreciated. I really like the generous neck width at the nut. It makes for very comfortable fingering. A fine addition to anyone's guitar collection.

I've been eyeballing these "Dead" guitars for a few years now, mostly the Wolf. I just could never let myself take the chance on a company I had zero experience with. I got an email that Eastwood was doing 24 hour flash sale on the BW Artist. It was just shy of 50% off the normal price so I went for it. I ordered on a Saturday and received the guitar the following Tuesday. I requested the guitar be double boxed (not sure if they normally do that or not) and it arrived securely packaged. The guitar was set up well and surprisingly in tune, I always detune before I ship a guitar. All in all, this is a pretty nice guitar for what I paid for it. The wood and build are well constructed for an Indonesian import. The pickups sound pretty good. The place where this guitar loses points is the hardware installation. There are a couple stripped screw heads and one mismatched silver screw when all others are gold. A few of the screws/holes were drilled at bad angles and those screws don't sit flush. I plan on also replacing the cheap pots as they don't do much for tone adjustment. I can't leave a 5 star review for the sloppy hardware and would've probably been disappointed had I paid full price for this guitar. At the discount price I paid, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I will continue to eyeball the Wolf and Tiger guitars and after the BW, I may take a chance on their Korean made instrument(s). Keeping my fingers crossed for another flash sale on a Jerry guitar!

Don't have tons of experience with Baritine guitars, but I know guitars. This guitar is a beauty, it's the complimentary instrument that I was after. It's also light for a guitar that big. The p 90 neck sounds great and the bridge offers all kinds of tone. It's a keeper for me.

The Rivolta Combinata VIII is my second Eastwood guitar ( the 1st being the Classic 12 sting). First, I have to say that, for its price, it punches well above its weight. Second, regardless of price, I'd put this up against anything that Gibson, Fender, or Ibanez could throw at it. I chose the Columba White finish and the trem set-up. The German carve adds a real "wow" factor and the fit and finish is better than most guitars costing two to three times as much. This was the only guitar that I can remember buying that did not need to be set up, right out of the box. In fact, when it arrived, every string was uniformly tuned down about a step and a half, which speaks volumes about the quality control at Eastwood's Nashville team. It's well balanced, with an extremely comfortable neck, and it stays in tune even if I really work the trem. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Got this guitar to perform at gigs with. I love the feel of the thick neck . The short scale is a joy to play ! I find it works so well for heavy rhythm because of the wider neck . I have smaller hands being a female and it’s fine ! The way it balanced makes it feel practically weightless even though it’s not a super light little guitar . Love the burning hot pick ups ! Everyone asks about this guitar ! Get one you’ll have a blast with it !

Back in 2006 I was in talks with Chris Eccleshall to make me a version of Peter Hook's "Hot" bass, modded to my specifications. Chris was an affable, well-spoken man who took his time to sort the details with me. unfortunately, I was not in a position at that time to pay what Chris was (quite reasonably) asking. Regardless, it was great speaking with him, and the loss was all mine. For years following, I was in search of the "perfect" hollow-body bass, going through a couple of modded EB-2Ds, without success. In 2020, I again decided to contact Chris, this time ready to follow through with a purchase - It was then that I learned of his passing. Once again, I was without a decent hollow-body, now with no possibility of ever owning an Eccleshall. When this bass popped up on the Eastwood site, I couldn't believe my eyes - Furthermore, I jumped in on one of the last of the first 12 to bear Peter's signature and the limited edition booklet. When the bass arrived, it was absolutely ideal, minus the plastic nut - no problem! After a trip to my tech, I had a beautiful bone nut in place and a strum-ready low-action setup. This thing hits growl, bite, and thump. I am very impressed with the playability, quality and form-factor. The Active EQ however is NOT anywhere in the realm of a BB1200S (my main bass), but that in no way means it isn't good - Different tools for different jobs, one complimenting the other. The Viking has a nasally honk, whereas the BB1200S has a tight throatiness to it. Its not always about how the instrument sounds solo, rather sometimes it is it's performance in a dense mix that is the critical factor. This will give you your EB-2D sound, with more tension and articulation without the mud and flubbiness of a shorter scale hollowbody. All around, I give it 5-stars, at it is not worth the pettiness of considering the nut an issue... This is a great Eccleshall/Peter Hook pairing for under $1500, and it sounds like one. Nice work eastwood - Now we need a lefty Viking Bass VI (with me getting one of the first, limited ones for making the suggestion)! -Adam ("Adam-I-Echo").

Thanks for the awesome lefty Rivolta maondata III. It’s such a beautiful instrument. Nice work! Check out my band and you will see this guitar on stage! https://www.instagram.com/ryder.thieves.official?igsh=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==&utm_source=qr

Premise: I am a guitarist who bought this based on credentials (Hooky) and aesthetics (cherry red, f-holes, long scale … I mean, come on!) but even though my expectations were high, actually playing it blew me away from the get-go. It looks, feels and sounds huge. It has the ‘thump’ you’d expect from a bass but also the harmonic articulation that a fan of Hooky would appreciate. All in all, a great instrument!

The Rivolta Combinata XVIII was my second Rivolta guitar the first being the Combinata XVII. The fit and finish on this guitar is flawless, playability great, and a big variety of tones thanks to the special switching. The body contours and neck shape make it easy to play for extended periods. Like any three pickup guitar, you have to adapt your picking to avoid hitting the center pickup but this is quite easy to do. This guitar compares well to other guitars costing twice as much. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

The guitar plays great. The rear pickup by itself is a little too thin for my tastes but when you kick in the 2nd bridge pickup it fattens up and to me sounds very "Rickenbackery". For reference it sounds to me like "But I'm Different Now" on an album by The Jam called Sound Affects. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjsxYmH_lP0 Only issue I have is there is a ground issue that needs to be addressed which to me is not a big deal. It is buzzing pretty bad if you're not touching the strings or bridge. I will just have it fixed when I take it in for a setup. Other than that I really like this guitar. It looks and sounds very cool and has become my couch guitar ever since I got it.

The green of the guitar is even more "mint" than it looks in the photos, making it more of a pretty green color. The white headstock is really classy. I plugged it into my 1960's Doric amp with Xotic EP booster + tremolo pedals and the tone is everything I'd want from a Baritone and more. Luscious fat tone with character.

Eastwood strikes again. I had my eye on this green beauty for sometime. I have been thrilled with my Eastwood Tiger. Both in its aesthetics and its playability, and I can say the same for this Airline Map FM Greenburst. I love this guitar… It’s has the feel of a much more expensive guitar while its doesn’t break the bank. And its design elements are very elegant and classy. PS. Don’t sleep on the Saint Paddy‘s day 30% off sale…

I am amazed at the quality and sound of both of my eastwoods and plan on getting another..or two...I wish they still came with a hard case..bit the soft case that came with the 3p is a nice soft case...the 59 3p jetson modle is so versatile its great...and a beautiful guitar...

My Eastwoods are my primary guitars for three bands - and the only stage guitars for two of them. My Eastwoods have refined and defined my playing. I have had nothing but exceptional experiences with the company - not just the instruments themselves, but also my dealings with Eastwood personnel in every department, at every level. Kudos to a great company, and yet another great guitar in my arsenal.

OK the Prince thing influenced my purchase but bottom line, image aside this is a great guitar. At first I found the sound a bit “thin” but changed the strings to a heavier gauge and dialed in the EQ with My Chase Bliss pre-amp and the guitar can pretty much do everything I want it to.

This is a nice Manolin. I would rate it higher but the set up was terrible. I had to work on the Bridge so that the saddles were able to move and get into the proper intonation. The Electric jack was loose and disappeared into the body when I first plugged it in. None of this was major but it was pain in the butt it fix.

This is my second Eastwood Tenor. I also have a Delta 4. The Astrojet has the simplified controls of an SG with the offset body of the Gretsch Astro-Jet. It came well packed and in perfect condition. A quick tune and I checked the intonation, which was spot on. The humbuckers are well matched in output and sound great. I love the narrow neck though someone with "fat" fingers might find it too narrow. It's very similar to my Blueridge A/E Tenor which was my previous favorite guitar. For anyone who likes a slim neck and wants to rock a Tenor, this is the axe for you.

This is a guitar that’s a joy to play and to look at. I’m an intermediate player so I’m sure I don’t see all the potential in the elaborate electronics set up. But this is a beautiful piece for all levels of guitar player. Do yourself a favor and add an Eastwood Guitar to your collection….

What a great guitar. The build is really nice I played the guitar right out of the box. The blend of pick ups really gives you some great tones for blues and slide playing. I did have to order a gig bag was not included with guitar ? The Valco style string through pickup is outstanding for slide. The foil pick up very moody tones. Excited to use this beast live at a show

What and outstanding instrument!! From the tip of the head stock to the knobs on the body. The most solid feel and the highest quality components. Seriously, if you are hesitating buying an Eastwood instrument...DON'T! Buy it and you will not regret it...

Fantastic unit. Easy to play, great action and what a sound!! Neck is a bit small at the nut but as others have pointed out, easy to adapt to. I'm missing the pink finger on the fretting hand, left hand for me, and find the low action of this unit really helps me as I modify cord shapes for my missing finger. I wanted a hard case, ordered and returned four different ones until trying the Crossrock hard shell. Fits like a glove. Though you need to put the body in first so the strap stud fits the notch in the case. Then lower the neck in for a perfectly snug fit. Crossrock Hard-Shell Wood Case for Baritone Ukulele, Sponge Lining, Metal Feet, Storage Space, Vinyl Tweed (CRW620BUTW) I do have photos but can't seem to include them with my review.

Nice thick neck, great sounding. Love the boost-function/switch, makes the guitar hot at the flick of the switch. The only thing I don’t like, and that I think is a mistake Eastwood made when making the guitar is the positioning of the front strapbutton. It’s on top of the guitar, but should be on the back of the guitar on the bortom of the neck for comfort/to make the strap secure. Where it is at now makes it risky to use the strap… But all in all a great guitar, love it.

I’m more than impressed with the great build quality for the price of this guitar. I’m playing it all the time, sounds great and looks great. I got the walnut version but it basically looks black to my eye. Overall this is a great sounding guitar and a great value for the price.

The Wolf has become my favorite guitar to play. I also have a strat, PRS Silver Sky and Eastwood Tiger. Wolf is the one I grab almost every time. The feel and tone are amazing. I have not tried the OBEL since my amp is a Mustang 100 GTX and has all the effects I need. No issues with it. Set up right out of the box was great. I played around with the Transwarp Pre-amp and turned it up a bit and it really added gain. Had to turn it back down. It has been so much fun to play. I would highly recommend it for anyone. Especially if you are looking for the Garcia tone of the 70’s.

I could have bought a cheaper hard shell case but I was impressed with the quality of the guitars I decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed. It's a well crafted case with industrial quality zippers, knapsack style bands if you want to carry it that way and a firm fit with the guitar.I liked it so much I bought another one for my Sidekick!

Had been looking for a cool octave mandolin/bouzouki type hybrid electric instrument for live use that can stand up against a full band. Really like look and feel. The bridge and saddle is a nice touch with the pickup selector. No shortage of tones! Would be cool for an option for a hardshell case!

This is my 5th Eastwood, so I’m obviously happy with the Brand. This is my best Eastwood. Sounds great unplugged. Classic Filtertroj vibes. I added the Bigsby B70 and they swapped in a roller bridge. I play it all the time and it gets shown off as a permanent member of the Family Room while more expensive guitars are in the basement

Just came in a week ago and I can't put it down! Fit and finish are superb, especially at this price. Setup is perfect and it is well intonated. The tone is very good either plugged in or played acoustically. Unplugged, it is loud enough to keep up in an acoustic jam. Although marketed as an octave mandolin, it is far more versatile than that, especially amplified. It certainly produces the ringing tones you would expect from an octave mandolin but you can get a very warm jazz sound as well. I am playing it more as a tenor on steroids for jazz and will be tackling some interesting classical string literature as well. Worth every penny and quite a few more!

I ordered the Backlund Rockerbox II mainly for its looks. I loved that classic 50's "futuristic" look of the body, the colors and just the whole vibe. This is my second Eastwood guitar (I have the classic 12) so I was expecting similar build quality. That's not to say my classic 12 is sub-par; it's not by any means. However, my expectations were exceeded with the Rockerbox II! The glossy finish is fantastic. It looks even better in person than online. The finish itself, in terms of how it was applied, shows care good quality control. No paint bleed anywhere, a nice even coat. The tuners are good, not too tight or loose. The only issues were a output jack nut that loosens up and one tone knob that is slightly off kilter. The tone is where this instrument rocks! The pickups are superb. If you're familiar with filtertron type pickups and love that tone, you'll love these. The neck can be very warm and rounded for jazz while the bridge can provide that crunch for rock! I have several guitars in my personal collection: a Gibson LP Standard and a Junior, a Fender Tele, an Epiphone Casino, a Reverend Jetstream 390, a Taylor Acoustic. I care about quality and have avoided the cheap imports because they often lack it. I play my guitars regularly and value performance over looks. So glad I have both with this instrument!

This guitar absolutely rips. The gold color is beautiful and I love the matching headstock. I had a brief issue with the jack, but I tightened it up and it’s working perfectly. Came set up well with low action and no fret buzz. Super lightweight as well (I think my chambered Duesenberg is the only guitar Inhave that’s lighter).

Mine came in today. It absolutely exceeded expectations in every way, especially considering the price. It's a great alternative to a traditional octave mandolin. Much more versatile for someone not playing traditional mandolin music. It sounds great played acoustically or plugged in. Unplugged it is loud enough to play with others. Great presence. Can't seem to put it down. Cheers!

This mando is my first Eastwood purchase so I had no idea what to expect but I assumed that at this price point I would be performing some basic setup stuff right away. It’s not uncommon for overseas built instruments to need a little fret filing/polishing or action adjustment to get them playing their best. I was pretty shocked at the apparent level of fit and finish on this little guy, right out of the box the green paint job was miles beyond what I expected; a different hue than the original crowd fund images but much prettier! The binding and inlay work are very clean and the frets are smooth as glass. I can make use of every single fret on this thing and that’s no small feat on a mandolin! The bridge and tuning hardware is all much more solid than I’d expect for this amount of money as well. The stock pickup is clean and nearly noiseless and the volume & tone pots are smooth-turning and usefully tapered. I have to admit, I was looking forward to being a nerd and upgrading this thing but I don’t even know what I could do to make it better. The only thing I can think of as a possible nit-pick is that you’re pretty limited as far as strap options as the strings are very low across the neck where the headstock breaks and there isn’t anywhere to route a mandolin loop under the fretboard/pickguard, not really a big deal but I would personally rather not have to use a shoe string. Having said that, there’s no way that this doesn’t deserve the full five star rating. I’m very pleased with the purchase and will consider Eastwood products in the future as a result.

Is it exactly like a Languedoc? No, but once you get past that, it’s a very nice guitar. The body is super thick. I’d guess 2”- 3”. Unplugged, it has the best acoustic sound that I’ve ever heard from an electric. At first, I thought the pickups were really thin and raspy, but then realized the additional switches were oriented in the direction you would not expect. On my guitar, both switches set down and away from you equals traditional humbucker tones with parallel tones in the middle. I have not looked to see what kind of pickups these are but they compare very well to the SD 59s that I have in every other guitar that I own. This guitar has that clean brilliance that we all love from TA - better than any other hollowbody guitar that I own. The build quality is excellent. Compared to an early run Phred that I have, it is definitely a step up. The pickups, tuners, and bridge are all high quality. I’ve not had an issue with the tailpiece mentioned in previous review. If you rest your hand near it, you can get some floating tremolo type sounds. With traditional hand location, mine does not come out of tune - even with bending. Unfortunately, the setup out of the box was very bad. The action was crazy low causing it to fret out and it had way too much relief in the neck. The pickups were also very high. These things are easy enough to remedy and now the guitar plays/sounds fantastic all over the neck. Like others have said, I’m not a fan of the gold hardware. I would love to know the manufacturer/model of the tailpiece and bridge so that I can swap them for black or chrome. If I’m being really picky, the f holes could be a bit bigger/wider. All in all, I am very happy with the guitar and the Eastwood hard case is very nice!

This review is for a Candy Red Sidejack Pro DLX. It is spectacular. Right from the box it felt broken in and as comfortable as the best 1950's to 1960's vintage instruments that have been in my possession over the years (including some of the finest "holy grail" instruments in existence). I own enough instruments from the Eastwood family of brands to know high their standards are, and that it's not possible to come close to this instrument from the "big guys" without a five-figure custom shop instrument. Mike Robinson and his team (as well as those at Rivolta) offer white glove service for everything they sell - There is literally no risk in trying their products. This is a boutique-quality guitar with extremely high quality hardware, truly magical Mosrite-style P90's and unmatched playability. I have some very nice instruments, but this guitar is "home." My guitar-player friends pick it up and instantly recognize the vibe without me saying a word. Last week I had a rather serious West Coast luthier examine and play it. His reaction to the playability and tone was the same as my own and everyone else's. But his bemusement that he couldn't begin to afford the materials required to build an instrument of this quality for $1200 was classic. Just buy one. If I could afford it I'd have already ordered a second.

I’m not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. The build quality is awesome. Great design and attention to detail. What really blew my mind was the setup. Fret edges were smooth, intonation was spot on, both pickups sound great! I’ve never played a baritone before and it’s taken some getting used to. All the voicings of chords, open strings, etc. are totally different. It’s like learning to play all over again, except I already know how. Tons of fun! I’ve already written a song on it and used it to beef up some studio tracks. I couldn’t be happier with it. Highly recommended!

This review is for a Sunburst Airline Tuxedo. It is my fifth instrument from the Eastwood family, which also includes a Sidejack 20th Anniversary Baritone, two Rivolta's and a Warren Ellis Mandocello. The instrument itself is wonderful, finally allowing me to own a "Kay" instrument without the litany of issues surrounding the original guitars. The P90's combine with the hollow body to dish out thick tones suitable for everything from jump blues to very heavy rock, playability rivals anything from Gibson or Fender under the $5k mark and setup out of the box was flawless. At last count, I've been through 138 guitars in my life, including all the usual suspects from the 1940's to 1960's. Despite the fact that none of the guitars I've acquired from Eastwood have hit the $2,000 mark, customer service has been white glove in every case. I highly recommend this instrument as well as any gear from the company. From the CEO down, every person at Eastwood or related companies almost makes you feel like you walked into a neighborhood music store where they knew you and really wanted to put the right gear in your hands every time. Remember those stores?? You can count on these folks to replicate the experience.

What an instrument! Really blown away by the range of sounds. The pickups all sound fabulous, and the splitting/phase options and combinations are all spectacular and useful in just about any musical scenario. It plays like absolute butter as well, and the factory setup was perfect straight out of the shipping box. Right into the studio without a hiccup! Looks like a million bucks, too. Those full size fretboard inlays are classy as hell. Totally knocked out by this bari on every level. Thank you!
