Story

Since 2005 Eastwood's Mandocaster™ has been one of the top selling electric mandolins in the world. This 2014 addition to the Mandocaster family is an Octave Guitar. It is tuned the same as any standard guitar, E-E, but an octave higher. Like putting a capo on the 12th fret of your 12 string guitar, but with a longer, more manageable scale length. A perfect addition to your studio!

Got one. Setup was fantastic...extremely well intonated which is a pretty mean trick on an instrument like this. It is in tune all the way up the neck. Everyone keeps talking about using it as a tracking instrument in the manner of a Nashville tuned guitar. It is FAR more versatile than that! Two players with a good foundation in harmonic theory can really do some amazing things with extended chords and playing modal variations by using a 'normal guitar' and the Mandocaster 12. Only...
