Story
Those of you who are already fans of microtonal music are no doubt familiar with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and the unmistakable sound of the Microtonal Guitar. That bright, buzzing, otherworldly shimmer. The riffs that feel like they’re bending reality. The notes that live between the notes.
Our obsession with microtonality keeps growing, and we know we’re not alone. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce this newest Guitstarter project, and addition to our MT lineup: the Lizard MT!
Western music traditionally divides the octave into 12 notes. But microtonal music opens the door to entirely new emotional textures by adding notes between those notes, expanding your harmonic vocabulary and transforming the fretboard into uncharted territory.
The Lizard MT is configured to capture that magic. With a precision microtonal fret layout, it gives you immediate access to the tonal colors and psychedelic textures that define the sound of modern microtonal rock: from swirling garage-psych to droning desert grooves and beyond.
