Drenge live comeback... with Rivolta!
Popular British band Drenge made a live comeback this week in Liverpool - and for their self-titled "Grand Reopening Tour" guitarist Rob Graham chose a Rivolta Mondata DLX.
At the beginning of April, Eoin and Rob from grungy British band Drenge visited our new offices in Liverpool - and were very pleased with the new Rivolta Mondata DLX.
Rob was originally Drenge's bassist (then playing an Eastwood Sidejack Bass 32) but for the new phase of the band he has moved to the guitar - and chose the Rivolta Mondata as his main instrument.
We were there for the first date of their "Grand Reopening Tour" in Liverpool, and can confirm that the band - and the guitar - didn't disappoint!
Drenge "Grand Reopening"
The band hit the Top 20 of the UK charts with their second album, 'Undertow' in 2015, and made their debut US TV Appearance on the Late Night Show With David Letterman that same year - and now, in 2018, with two guitars in their lineup and a new bassist, sound more powerful than ever before.
Lead singer and guitarist Eoin mostly played a beautiful Gibson Marauder through a Roland Jazz Chorus and a WEM Dominator amp, while Rob mostly used his new Rivolta Mondata through a ProCo RAT and Orange AD30. Raw power!
The enthusiastic audience at the Invisible Wind Factory venue in Liverpool moshed from beginning to end. We were lucky enough to survive down the front and bring you some pics and footage from the gig... so here they are!
