Celebrating Iconic Lefty Players and Giving Lefties Options

Any guitarist who's left-handed knows the struggle: you visit a guitar store, admiring all the cool finishes and body styles, and you look around to find... no lefties. Too often left-handed guitarists are stuck scraping the bottom of the barrel of electric guitar gear to get their sound.

    Left-Handed Guitarists We Love

One legendary lefty who made the bottom of the barrel rock was Kurt Cobain. Cobain was a master at making his inexpensive and widely available gear sound unique and cool. In the early 90's he purchased a Mosrite Gospel Mark IV guitar, which Eastwood pays tribute to with the Sidejack Mark V. Naturally, we offer the models in both right- and left-handed versions!

Elliot Easton of The New Cars has been rocking an Airline Tuxedo electric guitar on the road. The Tuxedo is a tribute to the Barney Kessel Pro model sold under the brand names Kay and Airline in the 1950's. Our version is lightweight, high output rock and roll machine - and it's the perfect lefty guitar for emulating the high energy, new wave sound of bands like The New Cars.

Eastwood's Wide Selection of Left-Handed Electric Guitars

If you're a lefty who wants to forge your own tonal path, you can bet Eastwood has something in stock for you, in all price ranges. We want to make sure left-handed players have the same access to quality instruments and diverse choices as their right-handed counterparts. That's why many of our most popular models, like the Classic 6 and the Airline Map, are available in left-handed versions. They come with the same great features, craftsmanship, and prices as their right-handed siblings.

    Effect Pedals are Ambidextrous!

Another left-handed guitarist who inspires us is Dick Dale, the King of Surf Guitar. He influenced countless musicians with his groundbreaking techniques and electrifying playing.

Guitarists of any handedness can capture some of Dale's magic with pedals like the Valco Five-O. It's got great sounding drive, tremolo, and reverb all housed in one enclosure. Everything you need to hang ten! For those who don't need all three effects, check out the BB-06 Dusty Spring from the Black Box series. It goes from subtle boing to full-on, dripping wet spring with a twist of a knob.

Speaking of the Black Box series, no discussion of left-handed guitarist would be complete without a nod to Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix's use of the Uni-Vibe at Woodstock in 1969 catapulted the effect to legendary status. Our BB-03 Blue Vibe nails Hendrix sound and goes even further: with a few simple tweaks you can get all manner of shimmer, swirl, and Leslie-like tones.
At Eastwood, we celebrate left-handed guitarists and strive to offer gear that honors their contributions to music. Whether you're a lefty looking for a new electric guitar, or a righty looking to pay tribute to your favorite lefty guitarist, we've got you covered. Check out all the models we have in stock and find the guitar that will inspire your next musical journey!
