David Hidalgo

David Hidalgo is a multi-talented musician and songwriter, best known for his work with Los Lobos. He can be seen performing with his MRG Octave Mando F-Style and MRG Mandola.

David is one of the founding members of Grammy Award-winning Mexican-American rock group Los Lobos, with a career in the music business spanning over 50 years.

In addition to his work with Los Lobos, David has been featured as a guest musician on dozens of albums by other artists, including John Lee Hooker, Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt, Dolly Parton, and many more. He has also been a regular performer at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival since its inception.

David is a valued collaborator because he does so many different things well. Whether he's playing a blues-inspired lead line or gritty soul rhythm, his parts are always expertly crafted. He can be seen performing with his MRG Octave Mando F-Style and MRG Mandola, proving he's not "just" a guitar player. He's a true multi-hyphenate who knows how to get creative and make a song work.
