Welsh singer/ songwriter/ producer Cate Le Bon is really lucky - after all, besides a successful career, the Award-Nominated artists has also grabbed the very first Warren Ellis Bass Guitar!
When Cate Le Bon saw our episode of From Mike's Desk featuring a Warren Ellis Bass prototype, she - like many of our customers - immediately felt she had to own it. Luckily for her, we were able to loan her the very same prototype seen in the video, so she became the first ever artist to play the new Warren Ellis Bass Guitar.
Le Bon launched her career over ten years ago and in this period has released five acclaimed albums as a solo artist, as well as credits as producer and collaborations with artists such as Deerhunter - all of which gained her not just a cult status amongst music fans worldwide, but also amongst her musical peers. Jeff Tweedy of Wilco once described Le Bon as "one of the best out there making music now."
Hard to disagree, and, as her recent nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize Award 2019 in Britain shows, we can expect her to reach ever greater heights.
