When Link Wray released the thrilling, ominous "Rumble" in 1958, it became one of the only instrumentals ever to be banned from radio play for fear that it might incite gang violence.By stabbing his amplifier's speaker cone with a pencil, Wray created the distorted, overdriven sound that would reverberate through metal, punk and grunge. Eastwood Guitars have partnered with Vince Ray to create a stunning Link Wray tribute guitar, with a range of T-shirts featuring the same illustrations and imagery that rekindle our love for Link's mastery of the rock n roll riff.
As the guitar has been a labour of love for the guys at Eastwood Guitars and Vince, we wanted to translate this into the making of our Link Wray inspired T-shirt line. Each design has been a collaborative process from design to production and they are all individually screen printed by hand in the UK. Unleash your inner rebel and the spirit of Link!
