    Story

Imagine "Standel", and you're likely to think "high-grade vintage guitar amps from the '50s and '60s". Indeed, Standel was an industry frontrunner at the time, with an artist roster that included the likes of Chet Atkins and Merle Travis. But an interesting piece of often overlooked history is that, for a brief period of time, Standel tried its hand at guitar-making.

Throughout the 1960's, Standel worked with a variety of guitarmakers including Semi Moseley (Mosrite), Joe Hall (Hallmark), and Sam Koontz (Harptone). You can read more on the history here, but the point is that if you took all of these influences and tossed them into a blender, you'd come out with the Standel Model 101.

It's unclear how many original 101s were ever made, and if you find one, you'd be hard-pressed to snag it for less than $2000. Our tribute pays homage to the original in great detail, and you can get your hands on it for just $699!

The Eastwood Standel 101 features a standard stop-tail, but you can make it DLX by adding a Les-Trem to your order. We'll install prior to shipping.
