Seye Adeleken

Seye Adelekan is the bassist in Damon Albarn's chart busting, globe-trotting project Gorillaz - playing his Classic 4, "NASA" Airline MAP Bass, and his signature Classic 5 at gigs worldwide. But he's also a singer, songwriter, and guitarist with lots of experience besides Damon's band.

Born in Nigeria, raised in London, Holland and Ecuador, Seye is a London based multi Instrumentalist, composer, and producer best known for being the live bass player in Damon Albarn’s animated, multi-media band Gorillaz.

He has also worked with such acts as Franc Moody, Paloma Faith, Benjamin Clementine, KT Tunstall, The Noisettes, Ellie Goulding, Mumford and Sons, Baaba Maal, La Roux, The Very Best and Africa Express to name just some.

Now releasing new music on his own as well, Seye has a crop of songs composed in Iceland and London bringing a mix of 60s pop, bossa nova, Afrobeat grooves and shimmering 80s melancholy to lyrics on sobriety, love, loss and hope.
Listen to his singles “A River” “Homerton Ocean View” “Junction” and “Remember What We Forget Now” to hear the Classic 4 in action.
