We are very excited to announce the production of this new Twin Tone Link Wray model. Eastwood has partnered with UK's Vince Ray (see notes below) to create a stunning new professional grade electric guitar. Featuring the artwork of Vince Ray, the guitar includes images and song titles that spans Link's career and rekindles our love of his music. But we did not stop there, we wanted to design a guitar that a professional player can be proud of, with pro-grade tuners, pots, a custom tailpiece and we installed a pair of Airline Vintage Voiced Single Coil Pickups for a that killer Link Wray tone. The guitar includes a custom artwork hardshell case, Airline Black Curly Cord and RUMBLE leather strap. The total package for every Link Wray fan and guitarist alike!

NOTES from Vince Ray
"Link Wray is well known for playing a number of different guitars but there's one particular model that I always thought was the coolest, the Dual Tone. It has that stripped down, wrong side of the tracks vibe that instantly shouts RUMBLE! White body, black neck and an array of switches and pickguard decor that makes you wonder if it's also a raygun. A blast from the past but it still seems futuristic.
I first discussed the idea with Mike Robinson of adding artwork to an Airline guitar a while ago. When we discovered a mutual admiration for Link Wray and his music, a tribute guitar seemed like the obvious way forward. I wanted to illustrate a few narrative elements, like the poor old Premier amp that had it's speakers mutilated to achieve a more distorted sound. I added a bit of artistic licence by drawing the amp with flick knives poking into the speaker cone. That seemed to match the razor edge sound of Links guitar on tracks like Rumble, Ace of Spades and Deuces Wild. Those titles were always so inspiring and well imagined, so I turned to those when considering other elements for illustration. Pick up a Link Wray album and look at the track listings...Jack the Ripper...Black Widow...The Shadow Knows...Switchblade...this is the soundtrack of juvenile delinquent rock and roll. That was the vibe that I was aiming for on this tribute model.
I'm banned from playing Link Wray in my car. I'm told it makes me drive too fast. Always has done".
