CLASSIC 6 TA PH construction

  • The CLASSIC 6 TA PH guitar looks and sounds great but I have a few questions before making a purchase decision:

What is the nut made of?

Would you describe the frets as medium, medium jumbo, or something else?

Is the top solid maple?  If not please describe the construction of the top and bottom.

Is the center block just big enough to accommodate the bridge or is it larger?

    Thank you so much!

  • Hey Patrick,

    Happy to help!

What is the nut made of?
It is a synthetic plastic (Corian).

Would you describe the frets as medium, medium jumbo, or something else?
    The frets are medium jumbo.

Is the top solid maple?  If not please describe the construction of the top and bottom.
The body's construction is of laminated maple. This is for two main reasons: 1) The stiffer material helps reduce feedback and 2) It helps keep the cost of the guitar to what it is.

Is the center block just big enough to accommodate the bridge or is it larger?
Correct, it is just a small block for the bridge and not a full centre block.
