Story
Antony Wandre Pioli was no stranger to lutherie, having been raised in Italy by violin maker Roberto Pioli. He began his craft in the '50s, and to this day his rare guitars are loved for their wonderful shapes and fantastic pop-art colors. While many are displayed in art museums, others have been owned and played by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Miller, and Ace Frehley.
We've paid tribute to these works of art in the past, starting with the Doris, then the Tri Lam, and most recently the Soloist.
The first of Wandre's builds was the Cobra, and here we plan to pay tribute to it. We are not out to "replicate" it. After all, the original had an aluminum neck and "upside-down" bridge. If you want that, go find an original and be ready to take out a mortgage! But if you want the vibe of the original in a modern, professional instrument, here it is...
*NOTE* This release will feature a bolt-on maple neck, not aluminum. Images shown are of an original guitar, not our version. They are shown only as a reference of our intended design.
