Toronto, Ontario…January 14, 2008 – Eastwood Guitars, INC. has announced a new Artist Endorsement Program to support their rapid international growth within the indie music community. Details of the new program will be unveiled at NAMM 2008 and simultaneously at www.eastwoodguitars.com.
Eastwood is well known for their reissues of classic 60’s guitars and has always had a strong following with guitar players from that era. However over the past several years Eastwood has been quietly garnering an underground cult status among “indie” bands. This grassroots movement paved the way for the Eastwood Artist Program and is supported by their new advertising campaign “Get Your Music Out There”.
Bands can qualify for the program at their local Eastwood Guitars dealer or directly at www.eastwoodguitars.com. Eastwood Dealers are armed with this program to help grow the local exposure to EASTWOOD Guitars in their neighborhood. “We are giving the dealers the tools they need – and the ability to make these decisions themselves – to grow the Eastwood culture in their community”, said Mike Robinson, President, Eastwood Guitars, INC.
In addition to discounts on Eastwood Guitars, the program includes: band bios, links to the bands WEBSITE and MYSPACE pages, special co-op discounts on a variety of services such as CD duplication and printing. The Bands music will also be streamed through Eastwood Radio 24/7. Eastwood has also begun manufacturing a series of Artist Compilation CD’s, featuring indie bands from the program. This CD will be included for FREE with the sale of every new Eastwood Guitar, giving these bands worldwide exposure.
“I have always been a huge fan of Indie music. Now, I am trying to give something back to the bands and their community. We are different - guitar players know it and they like it,” Robinson continued. “Who else in this industry would do a BUZZCOCKS Limited Edition Guitar? These are the kind of things that set us apart and why the grassroots indie community is embracing our brand.”
Eastwood is also looking for partners who can add value to the programs long-term growth. “Like us, if you like good music and you have a product or service that can help indie bands Get Their Music Out There, we want to talk with you”, added Robinson. “Indie music has given me so much enjoyment through the years and I hope to partner with like minded people to help spread the word”. |
